Meals on Wheels
Partnership Details
Meals on Wheels America supports a nationwide network of community-based programs committed to addressing senior hunger and isolation. These programs work tirelessly to ensure older adults receive nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks to help them live independently and with dignity. Marion County Senior Citizens, Inc. (MCSC, Inc.) is proud to be a member of Meals on Wheels America. While we share the same mission and values, we operate a separate home-delivered meal program tailored to meet the unique needs of seniors in Marion County. Our local program is designed with flexibility and community care in mind, ensuring no senior in our area goes hungry or feels forgotten. Bel-O-Mar Regional Council
Partnership Details
The Bel-O-Mar Regional Council serves as the designated Area Agency on Aging for northwestern West Virginia, operating through its Northwestern Area Agency on Aging (NWAAA). This agency coordinates services for older adults across 16 counties in the region, working in partnership with a network of county senior service centers.
The NWAAA’s mission is to assist county senior centers in delivering services to older persons in the best possible way. The agency advocates on behalf of older persons, identifies their needs, and creates plans to meet those needs, enabling them to maintain independence and dignity.
The agency’s priorities include:
Liaison: Serving as a bridge between state and local provider agencies, offering timely and accurate information, and supporting service providers.
Monitor: Overseeing programs under the Older Americans Act and related state initiatives.
Grants Manager: Negotiating grants and contracts, interpreting relevant federal and state procedures, and maintaining fiscal and program management systems.
Trainer: Identifying training needs, sponsoring training activities for local providers, and providing resources to better understand the senior population.
Advocate: Developing data to support advocacy positions at local, state, and federal levels, and articulating the needs of older persons to garner public support.
Through these efforts, the NWAAA aims to ensure that older adults in northwestern West Virginia receive the support and services they need to lead independent and dignified lives.
marion County Chamber Of Commerce

The Marion County Chamber of Commerce, established in 1953, serves as the voice of the business community in Marion County, West Virginia. This non-profit, member-based organization represents over 400 businesses, organizations, and professionals, focusing on improving the economic environment and enhancing the quality of life in Marion County and North Central West Virginia.
The Chamber offers a variety of programs and initiatives, including leadership development, networking events, and advocacy efforts, to support and promote local businesses. By fostering a collaborative business environment, the Marion County Chamber of Commerce plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth and community development in the region.
