Marion County Senior Citizen’s Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in our community through various services, programs, and activities.
Congregate and Home-Delivered Meals, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, In-Home Care, State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) Counseling, Socialization, Guest Speakers, and Nutrition Education.
Many of our services are provided by donation or a sliding fee based on income.
Transportation Services
MCSC, Inc. provides transportation to and from healthcare appointments through Modivcare for Medicaid recipients regardless of age.
Modivcare is a statewide broker that works with the West Virginia Bureau for Medical Services to provide transportation to eligible Medicaid Members.

Meal Services
Marion County Senior Citizens, Inc., is committed to supporting the health and well-being of older adults through access to nutritious meals.
Our Nutrition Program provides balanced, dietitian-approved meals to seniors age 60 and older — both at our senior centers and through home-delivered meal services for those who are homebound. These meals are designed to promote health, independence, and quality of life.
Whether joining us for a friendly lunch at one of our centers or receiving meals at home, seniors can count on us for dependable, nourishing support.
In-Home Care: Options & Details
FAIR (Family Alzheimer’s In-Home Respite)
Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia can be very stressful, and caregivers need a regular break from the demands of the job. The FAIR Program, offers relief to family caregivers and, at the same time, provides one-on-one attention and individualized activities for persons with a written diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.
The fee for FAIR services depends on the income of the person with dementia.
Lighthouse
Lighthouse is designed to assist those seniors who have functional needs in their homes, but whose income or assets disqualify them for Medicaid services. The Lighthouse Program provides support in four areas: personal care, mobility, nutrition, and environmental.
To participate in the program, one must be at least sixty years of age and meet the functional eligibility need. Lighthouse has a sliding scale fee reimbursement in place.
ADW (Aged and Disabled Waiver)
The Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver (ADW) Program provides in-home and community services to individuals 18 years of age and older who are medically and financially eligible. Medical eligibility is based on a functional assessment by a medical professional.
Case Management
Our Case Management Services are designed to help seniors navigate the support they need to live safely and independently. A dedicated case manager works one-on-one with each client to assess needs, develop a personalized care plan, and connect them with available services and resources. Whether it’s coordinating in-home care, meals, or other supports, we’re here to guide every step of the way.
Nutrition & Socialization
At Marion County Senior Citizens, Inc., we believe that healthy aging includes both good nutrition and meaningful social connections. Our senior centers offer nutritious, balanced meals served in a welcoming group setting, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy food and friendship together. These gatherings help reduce isolation, promote wellness, and create a sense of community that supports both body and mind.
Private Pay
Our Private Pay service allows seniors to receive additional care beyond what they may qualify for through state or federal programs. This flexible option provides personalized support tailored to each client’s needs. A signed contract is required, with a minimum commitment of four hours per week. Private Pay is ideal for individuals or families seeking extra assistance to ensure comfort, safety, and peace of mind.
VA Qualification
Clients who qualify for services through the Veterans Administration may be eligible to receive the same in-home services offered under the Aged & Disabled Waiver (ADW) Program, with the exception of transportation. These services are designed to support daily living and promote independence while honoring the unique needs of our veterans.
Personal Care (PC) Medicaid
The Medicaid Personal Care Program includes hands-on, in-home services provided to those who are medically and financially eligible. Medical eligibility is based on a functional assessment by a medical professional. Services provided in Personal Care include assistance with:

- Feeding
- Nutrition
- Environmental Support (Light Housekeeping)
